Specializing in leadership, communication, motivation, change management and presentation effectiveness, Corey Pruitt blends his expertise as a counselor, business owner and higher education leader to set the foundation for his training. Corey has inspired, engaged, and developed professionals in a variety of industries by focusing on growth and lasting performance improvements.
Following several years as director of operations and training at a healthcare facility, Corey honed his leadership and operations skills as the CEO and managing member of the National Human Communication Institute. Here, he developed programs for professional development and communication skills, oversaw the Learning Management Systems, assessed performance needs, developed and implemented professional certifications.
Corey then moved into academia, where he instructed students, planned lessons and developed curriculum. Moving up the ranks in higher education, he became the faculty chair and developer for Rio Salado College, where he created a learning and development framework for more than 1,500 faculty
members, and then the dean, instruction and community development. He was named also the vice president and chief operating officer for Maricopa Corporate College, operated by Rio Salado College, in 2016.
At the college, Corey revamped learning strategies to align with culture initiatives, institution learning outcomes and strategic goals. He also oversaw the management of eLearning at the college and resolved requests for multiple delivery modalities, including online, hybrid, in-person and print-based courses.
Throughout this time, he coached and mentored many faculty members, evaluated programs and set priorities for instructional improvements.
Corey has received numerous awards and recognition for his speaking, training and entertaining abilities. He is an established author of numerous workbooks, training manuals, articles, newsletters and blogs.
